New York State Department of Health, Vital Records - Information regarding how to obtain birth, death, marriage and divorce records. Birth and death records date from 1881 and death records from 1880. Fees and restrictions apply.

Bankruptcy records for the state of New York can be accessed via telephone using the Voice Case Information System of the United States Bankruptcy Courts (VCIS). Search options include name and case number. To complete your call - follow the automatic prompts.

NY Marriage & Divorce Records

New York State Department of Health, Vital Records - Information regarding how to obtain birth, death, marriage and divorce records. The department doesn't maintain marriage records. These must be obtained from the New York City Marriage Bureau if the marriage was issued in one of the five boroughs or from the county clerk in the county where the license was issued. Divorce records maintained by the department date from 1963. Fees and restrictions apply.
